St Michael’s Church, Stowe Nine Churches

Location:

Church Stowe

Architect:

John Barker

Contract Duration:

4 Months

Value:

£75,000

Date of Completion:

August 2022

The Church of St Michael is of great interest in the Stowe Nine Churches Parish, not only for the Grade I listing, but for its Saxon design.  St Michael's was built on a Neolithic worship site which is very rare in the county of Northamptonshire. We utilised our in-house traditional lime plasterer to carry out a vast array of render installation throughout the Grade I listed building. Following the initial works, at the client's request, various leadworks were undertaken to repair the South Aisle and betterment work to the tower's lead cills.

“Truly wonderful and thank you Phil and the team at CEL Group (1989) Ltd, it looks fantastic” - Sir Peter Ellwood
