Princess Theatre is based on a hillside, partly northside to the seafront, in the heart of Hunstanton. Opened in 1932 as a Capitol Cinema, a conversion of a hotel called Simpsons, the Princess Theatre now currently provides a wide variety of entertainment, from live shows, films, and theatre productions, seating 700 visitors in stalls and balconies. The contracted work was to re-surface the entire roof of the existing structure, with an acoustic insulated liner to the underside of the internal ceiling finish, with the addition of replacing all associated rainwater goods and facias. Roofing works were carried out over the winter period while panto productions were taking place, extra care and attention was taken to ensure noise levels were kept to a minimum and that the site was kept clean and tidy at all times, due to the building remaining in operation to the public.
