The Grade I listed church of St Mary is located very near to Whitney on the Oxfordshire, Cotswolds border. The church has an unusual tower; positioned in the northwest corner of the church it is square at ground stage, octagonal at upper stages with a pyramid roof, and is characteristic of Normandy churches.  The contracted works included; Installation of Code 8 sandcast lead to the Nave roof gutters and roof, with quality welding techniques applied on lead caps to ridge. The North Aisle roof works consisted of a new gutter formation along with raised sprocket sections, also in new code 8 sand cast lead. New bespoke Alumasc rainwater goods were installed to various locations to the nave and aisles. All stonework's were tidied up with traditional fat lime pointing with heritage carpentry works carried out to areas of the roofs structure.

"We were so pleased that CEL Group 1989 ltd worked with us to repair our Church roof. From the start they were professional, reliable, and hard working. Their tender for the work was very competitive and the quality of the finished work is excellent with great attention to detail. There were a couple of unexpected challenges thrown up by the state of the roof, but the team worked tirelessly to ensure that we were able to hold our Easter Services in the church building and a wedding in the week after Easter. Thank you from us to all the team at CEL Group 1989 ltd"
