St James Church is a Grade I listed church dating back to the early 14th century. The church is significant for its historic association with the Aslackby Preceptory of the Knights Templar, and its unusual arch detailing in the tower. The towers substructure was in major disrepair, however, having an in-house skilled craftsmen force, we were able to carry out full restoration of the tower using traditional methods. Contractual works at St James Church consisted of lead roof repairs to the tower and North Aisle including associated stone and timber repairs.  Works were then extended to also restore the Nave, as St James Church had funds remaining from their lottery grant after the contractual works had complete.
